The Luberon is bursting with fabulous hotels but one of my favourites is Bastide de Marie between Ménerbes and Bonnieux. This stunning Provençal luxury hotel is set amongst the heart of Luberon vineyards and within cycling distance of Ménerbes, a hilltop village made famous by Peter Mayle’s book ‘A Year in Provence’. 

An elegant country farmhouse dating from the 18th century and restored in the pure tradition of a Provençal bastide. Nestled in the heart of 26 hectares of vineyards, La Bastide de Marie flourishes with authentic roots and offers you a setting conducive to relaxation under the Epicurean sun. The house is reached by walking down a path lined with cypress trees, century-old olive trees and the bewitching scent of lavender.
