With a vision of a romantic day in a French chateau, Grace & Romain embarked on a journey to create their dream wedding in France. Nestled amidst the picturesque French countryside, Chateau Plombis provided the perfect backdrop. The Château is located one hour from Toulouse in the stunning Quercy region of France. It’s surrounded by 25 hectares of gardens, huge ancient cedar trees and has a wooded area overlooking the valley which is perfect for a shaded wedding ceremony.
Grace wore the stunning lace wedding dress ‘Elsie’ from Australian designer Made with Love Bridal. For added elegance she decided to customise the gown with delicate bows on the shoulders. Don’t tell my other Brides but it was my favourite dress that wedding season!
Romain’s French heritage played a significant role in shaping the couple’s wedding day. To honour his roots, they incorporated several French touches throughout the celebration. One such element was the rose wine from Chateau de Valbourges, located just down the road from Romain’s mother’s house in Provence.
Grace’s vision for the wedding flowers revolved around soft pastel colours. Delicate blooms in shades of blush pink, lavender, and ivory adorned the venue, creating an ethereal atmosphere. The talent behind these magical flower arrangements was Victoria Engelen. Grace’s bouquet was a selection of beautiful flowers including the fabulous David Austin Juliet rose, Kiera rose, peonies, and the lovely menta rose from VIP Roses, only to name a few. Grace wanted mainly foliage and a hint of white for her lovely bridesmaids which complemented her bouquet perfectly.
