Bethany contacted me in April as she and her husband were visiting the Luberon all the way from Utah. They wanted to organise a photo shoot to capture their last trip as a couple before the arrival of their first child. As you all know, I have a special place in my heart for Gordes in the Luberon. It really is the most magical place for a photo shoot. The summer light is mesmorizing and there’s so many gorgeous locations in and around Gordes to take beautiful portraits.

I am lucky enough to call this special area of France home and even after 4 years living here, I’m still amazed by it’s beauty. The Luberon is an area bursting with charming hilltop villages, wildflowers, vineyards, lavenders fields and Provençal beauty. It’s exactly what everyone dreams of when thinking of France and more.
Gordes is one of the more famous villages in the Luberon. It’s known for its artistic connections, medieval castle and timeless beauty. The dry-stone walls, olive trees, rows of cypress and views of the Provençal plains make it a photographer’s dream for a photo shoot.

What should I wear for my maternity photo shoot?” is a question I get asked often. So, I thought I’d share some advice to help you plan for your maternity photo shoot.
You want to choose some thing that has fabric that shows off your bump and allows for draping. A figure hugging maxi dress is a fantastic option. It shows off the bump, allows for movement and the best part is that it hides those third trimester swollen ankles! Plus you can hide flat comfy shoes for walking around during the photo shoot.
Colour wise choose something that compliments your skin and features. Try not to choose anything too busy, so we can focus on highlighting your beautiful baby bump!
