My grandparents had a house in the French Riviera ever since I was a little girl and we’ve been visiting as a family almost every year. Now I’m lucky enough to call this special part of the world home, so after years of exploring the area, I know some fabulous locations for photo shoots. Below are my favourite French Riviera Photo Shoot Locations.
Located between Cannes and Nice, Cap d’Antibes is my favourite location if you’re looking for those French Riviera sea views. There’s coastal paths with stunning yachts and colourful fishing boats, crytsal clear water and moutains in the background. These shoots are best timed for sunrise or sunset during the golden hour light.
Are you thinking city vibes with sea views, then Nice is a fantastic location for your French Riviera photo shoot. There’s lots of beautiful spots in Nice but my favourite for my photo shoots are the Promenade des Anglais, the iconic waterfront walkway lined with palm trees. Then Vieux Nice (the Old Town) due to it’s picturesque colourful architecture, bustling markets and shade from the summer light! If you fancy a hike then there’s also Castle Hill which offers stunning panoramic views of the city and coastline. For Nice photo shoots, I always recommend starting these early in the morning to avoid the crowds.

The famous city of Cannes is always a fabulous location for your French Riviera photo shoot! La Croisette, The famous boulevard lined with palm trees, luxury hotels, and the beach is ideal for glamorous shots. There’s also Le Suquet, which is the old town area with narrow streets and a historic castle provides a quaint setting. Plus the Old Port with all it’s beautiful boats which leads to the sea for some beach photos at the end of the session for the golden light.

If you’re looking for the WOW factor for your French Riviera photo shoot then Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild is the location for you! It’s a huge pink palace nestled amongst dreamy tropical gardens and incredible Mediterranean Sea views.

What’s not to love about Saint Tropez! The harbour, Port de Saint-Tropez is filled with luxury yachts and colourful buildings creating a vibrant backdrop for your French Riviera photo shoot. Pampelonne Beach is perfect for those sun-soaked shots.

If you’re dreaming of a picturesque Provençal village photo shoot then Valbonne is the perfect village in the French Riviera. It’s a very beautiful little old town built in a quiet valley with cobbled streets and lots of shade from the summer heat. Avoid Fridays when they have their weekly market as it gets very busy!

Oh beautiful Cassis, this spot in the South of France truly has a special place in my heart. Gorgeous quiet stone beaches and a charming little village with a backdrop of old colourful fishing boats. It’s a marvelous location for a photo shoot.

And of course, lets not forget the famous lavender fields in the Provence! Every year from 20 June – mid July the Provence is alive with vibrant purple lavender fields and it’s the most breathtaking backdrop for a photo shoot.
