Are you looking to get married in South West France and you’re looking for a wedding venue? Chateau du Bedat is a family owned chateau with spectacular views of the Pyrenees. It’s situated just outside the small Gers town of Aignan. I had the pleasure of capturing a wedding there last summer and it was a dream to photograph. Beautiful gardens, large rooms with lots of natural light and endless vistas of the surrounding French countryside.

The Chateau

What’s great about the wedding venue is it has multiple options for both indoor and outdoor weddings. Therefore, you don’t need to worry about the weather! Its stone and oak beamed chai (the Gascon word for wine barn) is a great space for your wedding dinner or party. Outdoors there are plenty of delightful locations that can be used for the ceremony or cocktails. Be it a ceremony under the majestic trees, cocktails on the lawn over looking the countryside, dinner around the fountain or brunch by the lake…

Chateau du Bedat can cater for up to 100 guests and sleeps up to 20 people in nine bedrooms. It boasts stunning reception rooms, a large family kitchen and a separate dining room. There’s also a beautiful swimming pool, with pool house, available for residents at the Château. So, you can organise a big pool party the day after the wedding!

This South West France wedding venue also offers a host of activities to keep you and your wedding guests entertained for the wedding weekend! You can have a private chef, go clay pigeon shooting, take a hot air balloon or go fishing on the lake.
