La Bastide de Marie in the Luberon region of France is one of my absolute favourite wedding venues in France. Nestled in the heart of Provence, this luxurious farmhouse is the perfect choice for couples looking to get married in a chic provençal setting.
I had the honour of capturing Maddie and Dan’s luxury destination wedding at La Bastide de Marie as second shooter for the fabulous Nina Wernicke. Maddie wore a sleek silk wedding dress by Australian designer Kyha and Manolo Blahnik shoes.
The Bastide is a beautifully restored 18th-century farmhouse, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. The lush gardens and rolling hills of the Luberon provide the perfect backdrop for an outdoor wedding ceremony. Whilst the elegant interiors of the Bastide offer a sophisticated ambiance for the wedding reception in case of bad weather.
The Bastide is known for it’s exceptional farm-to-table cuisine. So, not only will you wedding guests be wowed by the beautiful venue but they’ll enjoy delicious food and wine. The restaurants ingredients are sourced from their own gardens and local producers in the Luberon.
They also have an excellent in house events team who is committed to making your wedding day as stress-free as possible. From the initial planning stages to the day-of coordination, they will work closely with you to ensure every detail is perfect. Or you can choose to work with an external wedding planner. The choice is yours! If you’re looking for recommendations for wedding planners in the South of France then check out my blog post.
In addition to the beautiful setting and top-notch service, the Bastide also offers luxurious accommodations for you and your guests. The estate features a selection of elegant rooms and suites, as well as a charming cottage.
I love an intimate wedding and La Bastide is best suited for more intimate weddings of up to 80 guests. It’s a luxury hotel but has the feeling of being in a Provence family home.
If you’re thinking of getting married at La Bastide de Marie then send me a message as I’d love to capture your special day! I live just 20mins from La Bastide de Marie, so perhaps if you’re doing a venue visit, we could meet for a glass of Rosé and take some portraits!
Thanks, Abbi
