Should we do a First Look on our Wedding Day?
This is a question I get asked a lot from my couples and my answer is always YES! Of course, some couples like to leave the anticipation and wait until that beautiful moment walking down the aisle but if your tempted by a First Look on Your Wedding day then I thought I’d share some reasons with you as to why I love them as a photographer.

Amidst the madness of your wedding day, finding a moment of intimacy can be difficult. A first look allows you and your partner to share a private moment before the ceremony. This can help ease any pre-wedding nerves and creates the most beautiful emotional photos. It’s a chance to focus on each other and enjoy a few moments of calm before the celebrations begin.

2. Capturing Raw Emotions
For me, the best thing about a First Look is the genuine emotions that come with a first look. Without the pressure of all your guests watching, couples are much for relaxed and emotional during a First Look than they are if they see each other for the first time at the ceremony. Therefore, it allows me to capture some truly candid shots bursting with love and emotion.

3. More Time for Photos
By opting for a first look, couples can take advantage of the time before the ceremony to complete a significant portion of their couples portraits. This means more time for natural shots during the rest of the wedding day. It also means that you get to enjoy your cocktails! With fewer people around, you can enjoy a relaxed photo session that doesn’t feel rushed, allowing for more creativity and spontaneity.
