From the very first message, I knew that Irina and Logan and I shared the same visual language. There was an immediate sense of alignment in the way they spoke about their wedding, their love for fashion and their desire for photography that felt editorial, and deeply personal. When we later spoke on the phone, it felt as though we had known each other for years. We bonded instantly over shared aesthetics, a mutual love of film photography and even our dachshunds! It’s always incredibly special to work with a couple who not only inspires you visually but also fully trusts you in the creative process.
Their wedding took place in Villefranche-sur-Mer on the French Riviera and was intentionally intimate with just ten family members present. This kind of setting creates space for connection, calm and creativity and allows editorial wedding photography to unfold in a way that feels honest and unforced. Irina and Logan spent the week leading up to their wedding together with their family in a beautiful private villa overlooking the Mediterranean and the entire celebration felt rooted in meaningful time together rather than tradition or performance. Free from the pressure of a large guest list, the day moved at an unhurried pace, allowing for genuine emotion and deeply intentional photography.
Alongside still photography, I also captured parts of their day on vintage Super 8 film. A subtle, nostalgic addition that felt perfectly in tune with the atmosphere of the weekend and the way they wanted their memories preserved.
This intimate French Riviera wedding was photographed using a blend of digital and 35mm film to create a timeless, editorial feel.
If you’re dreaming of an intimate wedding or elopement along the French Riviera, and you feel a connection to my style and approach, I’d love to hear your plans and be there to tell your story.
