Honeymoon photo shoot with Irina and Logan at the luxurious Château de La Messardière in Saint Tropez. One of my absolute favourite venues for a photoshoot in the Côte d'Azur.

I had the absolute honour of photographing Irina and Logan’s wedding on the French Riviera and after spending such a meaningful day together, they kindly asked if I would also photograph a honeymoon portrait session for them in Saint-Tropez both on film and digital. Of course, I said yes! 

Perched above the coastline, Château de la Messardière offers sweeping views over the Mediterranean Sea with elegant cypress trees framing the horizon and yachts drifting below. It truly is a dream setting for any photographer. It's impossible to take a bad photo! 

The architecture alone makes this venue extraordinary. Every detail from the terraces to the interiors reflects thoughtful design and impeccable taste. Château de la Messardière is part of the Airelles collection, a name synonymous with understated luxury, exceptional service and some of the most beautiful properties in France. That level of refinement is felt throughout the entire experience and translates effortlessly into photographs. It didn't surprise me that Irina & Logan chose this location for their honeymoon! 

Light plays a huge role in my photography in order to create that cinematic look. I often recommend scheduling photo shoots either early in the soft morning light or later in the day just before sunset, when the golden light brings warmth and depth to every frame. These golden hours are the most flattering for photos and avoid that mid day glaring sunlight. Plus of course, if it's the summertime, you avoid the harsh Provence heat! 

Because I had already spent the wedding day with Irina and Logan, getting to know them beforehand, the honeymoon session felt relaxed and intuitive. We already shared a sense of trust, which always makes for the best photographs. Rather than posing endlessly, we simply wandered the grounds together, chatting, laughing and exploring. They were open to every creative idea I suggested, allowing the session to unfold naturally and authentically.

This is exactly how I love to photograph honeymoon sessions in Saint-Tropez — slow, intentional, and deeply connected, in a setting that feels both luxurious and effortless.
