Leonie reached out months before we met, and right away I felt that our visual inspiration aligned. She wanted something real and natural. Nothing forced or overly posed and from our very first conversation I knew this would be a session I could truly get creative with. I don’t usually shoot film photography for my family sessions, but for this one I decided to incorporate both film photography and Super 8 video, to bring in that timeless, nostalgic feel.

We met in the beautiful village of Lourmarin in the Provence, and took our time. No rush, no schedule, just connection. We laid a blanket out in an olive grove, climbed trees, breastfed under the soft light, and talked about motherhood and the gentle chaos of family life. Later, we wandered through the cobbled streets, capturing little moments as they unfolded.

Moving forwards, I’d love to offer more of these kinds of sessions, slower, more intentional, rooted in storytelling and emotion.
