My Favourite Provence Wedding Venues

Are you looking for the perfect Provence wedding venue? In this blog post, I’ll share some of my favourite wedding venues in France. From stunning chateaus to breathtaking vineyards, there is something for every couple’s dream Provence wedding.

Luxury Provence Wedding venue Chateau de Tourreau.

Villa Baulieu

I adore this venue! It’s a private residence with an exceptional vineyard and nestled in the heart of the only volcano in Provence. It’s ideally located between Aix-en-Provence and the Luberon and was owned by the Counts of Provence since the 16th century. If you’re looking to keep your guests busy then the estate offers a range of activities from wine tastings to cooking classes. You can see a wedding I shot at this fabulous venue here – Nina & Carl. This wedding was also recently featured on Wedding Chicks.

La Bastide de Marie

If it’s intimate and charming that you’re looking for then this exceptional Provence wedding venue is the one for you!  A striking farmhouse estate close to the most beautiful village in France, Gordes and located in the heart of Luberon National Park. La Bastide de Marie boasts fragrant gardens, vineyards, and lavender fields. It’s a picturesque venue with stunning locations for your ceremony and photo backdrops. La Bastide is best suited for more intimate events of up to 80 guests. You can find more photos of the bastide on my dedicated blog post about the property – La Bastide de Marie.

Château de Fonscolombe

This Provence wedding venue is a unique and magical setting with a 12-hectare park and private 18th century chapel. An incredible 50 room Relais & Châteaux hotel just near Aix-en-Provence with the real WOW factor. Château de Fonscolombe recently went under an 18 month renovation and the results are second to none!

La Bastide de Gordes

Of course, I’m a little biased as I’m lucky enough to live in the beautiful Luberon area! La Bastide de Gordes is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful Provence wedding venues. Owned by the truly world-class Airelles group, it sits high in the heart of the village of Gordes. Set into the cliffs with spectacular views of Luberon valley. There are plump velvet armchairs, thick wooden beams and even suits of armour at every turn. With a variety of spaces both indoors and out, a fantastic restaurant and scenery to die for, it’s the perfect venue to say I do.

Chateau de Berne

Chateau de Berne is a fairy-tale wedding venue surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. This 18th-century castle offers a range of options for your celebration and includes a beautiful outdoor terrace and a romantic chapel. In the middle of a renowned wine estate, Chateau de Berne is the ideal place for a chic, refined and authentic Destination French wedding.

Chateau Saint-Martin & Spa

You will find this venue perched on a hilltop in Vence with panoramic views of the French Riviera. A luxurious Provence wedding venue featuring beautiful landscaped gardens, a stunning infinity pool and elegant rooms. I haven’t photographed a wedding here yet but it’s on my hit list! So, don’t hesitate to message me if you are getting married at Chateau Saint-Martin.

Domaine de la Baume

Situated in the heart of the French Riviera, Domaine de la Baume is a magnificent 18th-century estate. Surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, this exclusive venue offers a range of options for your wedding, including a romantic courtyard, a charming chapel, and a grand ballroom.

Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild

Located between Nice and Monaco, overlooking the prestigious peninsula of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild is a truly breathtaking venue! Built during the ‘Belle époque’ period, it is surrounded by nine magnificent gardens and overlooks the Mediterranean sea. This Provence wedding venue is perfect for a luxury outdoor ceremony. Cocktail and dinner capacity 350 guests outdoor.

Chateau de Tourreau

Tucked away in a small town outside of  Chateaunuef-du-Pape, Sarrians this is one of the most sought after wedding venues in Provence! And, for good reason. The château sits on a 20-acre estate where guests can enjoy the six salons, infinity swimming pool, tennis court, plus squash and fitness area. The drive into the property is framed with a path of century-old trees which is a perfect spot for some beautiful photos. It even has an onsite chapel for your intimate ceremony! The Chateau can accommodate 29 guests (15 in the main house and 14 in the guest house). The minimum rental period is 4 days and 3 nights.

Chateau de Robernier

Nestled in the heart of Provence, Chateau de Robernier is a magnificent 12th-century. With its stunning views, enchanting gardens, and elegant reception rooms, this venue will transport you and your guests to a fairytale world. I’m very excited to be photographing my first wedding at Chateau de Robernier with the wonderful Chrissy from CC Weddings & Events

Château de la Gaude

So, are you ready for my last recommendation…

Château de la Gaude is  an 18th-century Provençal bastide nestled in a lush haven in the heart of Aix en Provence. This boutique hotel has been renovated in 2019 and offers you 14 rooms and suites. It has prestigious design elements, views of the wonderful gardens, vineyards and the Saint-Victoire Mountain. This is a perfect Provence wedding venue for a luxury and outdoor summer wedding.

These are just a few of the many incredible wedding venues that the France has to offer. Whether you’re dreaming of a rustic countryside wedding or a glamorous affair on the French Riviera, there is a venue that will perfectly suit your style.

Thanks, Abbi
