Luberon Lavender Photo Shoot with one of my favourite families!

France lavender photo shoot

Last summer I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing the wonderful Stuart-Grant family who were visiting all the way from Australia. They had visited the area years ago as a couple and wanted to come back with their two beautiful children to have a Luberon Lavender Photo Shoot. We met at sunrise in Bonnieux to take some photos in one of the lavender fields. After we drove to their hotel La Bastide de Marie and took some photos in the hotel’s stunning gardens.

Luberon Lavender Photo Shoot

From mid June to mid July, you’ll find me every sunrise and sunset in one of the mesmerising Provence lavender fields taking portraits. It’s incredibly important if you’re planning a photo in one of the many Luberon lavender fields to plan it for the golden hour light at sunrise or sunset. Yes it’s early I know but that soft golden light is very flattering. Plus you’ll avoid all the crowds!

La Bastide de Marie

The Stuart-Grant’s were staying at La Bastide de Marie in Ménerbes. A luxury 18th century family style hotel nestled in the heart of the Luberon regional natural park, in the south-east of France. The hotel is surrounded by 15 hectares of vineyards and perfectly manicured gardens that make it a fabulous spot for a photo shoot. If you’re planning a Bastide de Marie wedding or simply wanting to take some portraits then don’t hesitate to message me.

The Villages

My favourite way to finish a Luberon Lavender photoshoot is to visit one of the many stunning villages in the area such as Gordes or Goult. This allows us to create more variation for your photos and really get that Provence feel.
