Kayla and her beautiful family contacted me as they wanted to capture some family portraits. They were visiting from America with their two daughters and bump! For the location, we decided on Goult as it was both of our favourite village in the Luberon.

We planned the photo shoot for the late afternoon following the girls nap, so they’d be full of energy. Plus it meant that we had the soft afternoon light, which is perfect for portraits!

The Luberon area is famous for it’s lavender fields and the beautiful village Gordes. However, my favourite village and the place that has captured my heart is definitely Goult. It’s so beautiful and isn’t on the tourist map quiet like Gordes. Therefore, it still maintains its authenticity. It’s without a doubt my favourite secret spot for a portrait shoot in the Luberon.

Goult is nestled on a hilltop overlooking the Luberon Valley, less than a 15-minute drive northwest of Bonnieux and about 20 minutes southeast of Gordes. It’s a truly a picturesque Provencal village known for its charming stone houses, narrow cobblestone streets, and stunning views of the surrounding countryside. With its tranquility and natural beauty, Goult provides the perfect backdrop for a family photo shoot.
