The Venue – Villa Baulieu

A 5 star chic domaine in the heart of the Provence nestled in a 300-hectare estate. The venue is around fifteen kilometres from Aix-en-Provence, an hour from the famous Luberon Regional Natural Park and 30 minutes outside of Marseille. The venue has 12 elegant Rooms and Suites enjoying unspoilt views of the Alpilles and Saint-Victoire mountains and the Luberon region. Walls and mouldings, drapes and furnishings bear witness to the historic past of this luxurious family home. The respect and appreciation the Guénant family have for Mediterranean culture is clear to see all through the house which they lovingly restored in keeping with its long history.

Wedding Details

If getting married among the vines is your dream destination wedding, then this Italian style 17th century villa is the one for you. It’s very private and there’s no late night music curfew for your big day here. Wahoo!

The villa has an incredible entrance lined by grand and iconic Cyprus trees, which makes for the perfect backdrop for your couple photos! In fact, the venue is bursting with incredible locations for photos. From the moment you enter the property, you have the WOW factor with the luscious gardens, Provence rose tunnel, geometrical Versailles-style hedged maze, fountains and olive groves.

This memorable vineyard wedding venue can welcome a maximum of 200 guests for an outdoor wedding or 60 guests indoors for a seated dinner. If for some strange reason it rains in the Provence (!) you would need to rent a tent for cover. The venue requires a full privatisation in order to host weddings. In the peak summer months of July and August, a minimum of seven days is required. For shorter periods, consider a destination wedding here in June or September, which are actually my favourite months as the weather is a little cooler!

You can also organise wine safaris in 4x4s for your wedding guests and explore the vast hectares of vineyards before wine tasting and a fabulous brunch! Villa Baulieu is an ideal location for the entire wedding weekend, especially for wine lovers.
